Meet the Principal

Principal Cassandra Nason
Hello Maple Grove Community!
I am thrilled to be joining the Maple Grove community as your principal. I began my journey in education as a paraprofessional in 2002, taught multiple grade levels in Jeffco Public Schools and Denver Public Schools, served as a reading interventionist and instructional coach and most recently, was an assistant principal in Evergreen.
Maple Grove is a place that sparks joy in learning while nurturing the whole child, which aligns with our vision of Rooted in Excellence, Growing to Greatness. Being rooted in rigorous academics, along with a dedication to develop social-emotional competencies, we can ensure all our students are equipped to grow to greatness. It is a privilege to lead this shared vision, as we create a community where every student can truly flourish.
It is my life’s work to bring out the best in others, and it is why I am dedicated to school leadership. I believe that creating conditions where staff and students can do their best work generates momentum and energy toward our shared goals. My value of excellence anchors me to the relentless pursuit of continuous improvement for ourselves and our students. I also know that building authentic relationships is what brings us together and allows us to create the trust and collaboration needed for growth. My leadership is rooted in the optimism that when we are empowered to be leaders of our learning, are intentional around creating a sense of belonging, and are committed to unlocking the best in others, there is nothing we can’t achieve!
At Maple Grove, I am eager to build on the exceptional foundation already established. Together, we will continue to challenge and grow our students’ minds and hearts. My goal is to ensure that every student feels valued, every teacher feels supported, and every family feels welcomed as an essential partner in our school’s success.
Outside of school, you will find me spending time with my husband, our four kids, and our super-mutt, Juno, or out on the trails running!
Looking forward to a great year ahead!
In partnership,
Cassandra Nason
