Volunteer

Maple Grove Loves Our Volunteers

There are many ways that you can be involved in our student's learning and safety.

  • PTA
  • School Accountability Committee
  • Clubs and activities
  • Classroom support

The safety and security of our students and staff is our highest priority. All volunteers in the school or classroom need to complete the designated forms listed below prior to service.

Sign Up to Volunteer

There are two steps to being cleared to volunteer in the classrooms. First is to complete the necessary forms, the second is to call the school with your social security number and payment.

All volunteers at Maple Grove need to complete a background screening and disclosure and release forms prior to coming in.

The required printable forms must be returned to school before calling Krista Corthell with your social security number and payment method.

Please allow one week for the background check to be processed. You will only  be notified if the background  check does not clear. Contact Krista Corthell with questions.

Watch D.O.G.S.

Watch D.O.G.S. (Dads Of Great Students) are fathers, grandfathers, uncles, and other father-figures who volunteer at least one day each year at an official Watch D.O.G.S. school. Watch D.O.G.S. is a nationally recognized K-12 program where volunteers provide an additional security presence at the school and help with a variety of tasks during the day, including but not limited to monitoring the entrance and doorways, assisting with the loading of buses and cars, observing the cafeteria and lunch recess, helping with front office errands, and aiding in the classroom as applicable.
