I am originally from Chicago where I attended DePaul University and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in finance. My passion for art and creative endeavors led me to The School of the Art Institute of Chicago where I received another Bachelor’s Degree in Art/Art Education. 

I then moved to Arvada and attended DU where I studied curriculum and instruction and  spent time at the Ricks Center for gifted children. I ultimately landed at the University of Northern Colorado where I earned my Master’s Degree in Special Education: Teaching the Gifted and Talented. A few fun facts about me is that I love to travel to see art and cultures around the world, play Pokemon Go and am a black belt in aikido. I am looking forward to watching all the students grow as artists and creative problem solvers!

Laura Tribby
I was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, where my dad studied and taught at the Violin Making School of America. My parents moved back home to Michigan when I was a year old, and I grew up in Kalamazoo and South Haven. Being by Lake Michigan was wonderful and it’s what I miss most about that lovely mitten state. I earned degrees in trumpet and voice performance at Western Michigan University - home of the Broncos - and participated in many music ensembles there. I also studied opera in Graz, Austria for a summer. A fun fact about me is that I LOVE clouds. If you ever see me taking a picture of the sky, that’s why. This school year, I am looking forward to teaching students all about instruments and getting some guest musicians in our building.

Michael Koral 

I was born and raised in Suffern NY and graduated from Suffern High School in 2007. I was the captain of the cross country team in my senior year when we won the league championship. I then attended SUNY Cortland and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Physical Education, and later pursued my masters in Health Education from Lehman College while substitute teaching and coaching track and field. On top of teaching, I run a small Olive Oil and Balsamic Vinegar business named 7 Barrels which has been an amazing experience for me as an entrepreneur and even more amazing to share the many lessons I’ve learned with my students. This year I am excited to have the opportunity to have the students work with pedometers. This is a great tool for them to challenge themselves and see how many steps and movement minutes they can get during a class.
