I was born and raised in Michigan (yes, I hold up my hand and use it as a map). I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Communication Disorders from Central Michigan University. I had plans of becoming a Speech-Language Pathologist, but then discovered Deaf Education. I received my Master’s in Deaf Education from Washington University in St.Louis School of Medicine. I accepted a job in the auditory-oral center program at Maple Grove in the fall of 2011, and I’ve been here ever since! The students, families, staff and community are what makes this place feel like a second home. A fun fact about me is I have two daughters who were born during the pandemic; Adalyn & Emelia. I love being a mom! This year I am excited to continue to build relationships with my students and their families.

I was born and raised on a farm east of Denver. My family also took Shetland Ponies to different events for kids to ride. I have a degree in Business. Before entering the education field I owned a business building race car trailers. Fun facts about me are I hike, climb mountains and read at our cabin by Kremmling Colorado. As always I look forward to helping students, especially Kindergarteners learn and reconnecting with Maple Grove friends.
