I was born in Iowa and moved to Colorado when I was three years old. I lived in Colorado Springs for a year before I moved to the foothills of the Mountains next to Golden Gate State Park. I love the mountains, hiking, camping and anything outdoors. Currently I am going to college at Metropolitan State University of Denver to go into nursing. I have always loved working with kids, so I knew this would be the perfect place for me while I am getting my degree. I absolutely love getting to know each child I interact with and I am excited for the eventful year ahead!

I was born in Manhattan, Kansas. We moved to Colorado just shortly after I turned 1yr. My Dad got his first teaching position with Jeffco Schools At Wheat Ridge Jr. We lived in Colorado til I was done with 3rd grade then we moved to Texas for a year. After being in Texas for a year my dad could find a good teaching job so my parents packed up the family and we moved back to Colorado. As a child I attended many Jeffco Schools and was in Learning Special Ed Classes. I graduated from Wheat Ridge High school in 1982. After Graduating I met my husband and we got married in 1985. My employment started in 1989 with working in the preschool/ childcare field. In 2002 I got on with Jeffco Schools preschool program working in preschool. I changed my career path to being a Parapro. My husband and myself are both working at Maple Grove Elementary. Go GRIZZLIES!

I was born and raised in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. I attended Kullerstrand Elementary, Everitt Junior (yes, it was called Junior back in the day!) High School, and Wheat Ridge High School. I graduated from Colorado State University with a degree in Human Growth and Development with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education. I have always loved working with, and for, children. I have worked as an early childhood educator, preschool teacher, assistant director, and director of child care facilities. I have also done contract work educating home child care providers on implementing preschool curriculum into the home environment. I was a Licensing Specialist for the Division of Childcare monitoring compliance in early childhood facilities. My youngest child just “left the nest” and I knew I needed to be back working with the children. A fun fact about me is that I have a long family history in Glenwood Springs. My Grandma would tell stories about attending parties at The Hotel Colorado wearing flapper dresses and fancy hats. I had one of her old dresses until it literally fell to dust! I look forward to going to work every day and love watching the kids grow and change before my eyes.
